Our research and development plans connect three areas of inquiry.
AI-assisted screenwriting
Exploring how AI can support story development, scene planning, dialogue and revision, with methods grounded in screenwriting practice and informed by editorial feedback.
Novel-to-screenplay conversion
Studying novels alongside their screenplay adaptations to understand what is retained, condensed, reordered or reimagined—and how those choices can inform the adaptation of new manuscripts.
Understanding the scene
Examining screenplays and finished films to study dramatic structure, character, conflict and the way scenes work together. Linking observations to sources helps distinguish evidence from interpretation.
03 / Our approach
Experiment.
Review. Refine.
We plan to develop and test AI workflows, assess the resulting screenplays, and use reviewed feedback to guide further work. Human judgment is central to evaluating coherence, character, dramatic impact and fidelity to the source.
We are at the beginning of this work—with much to investigate, test and learn.
